Negotiation can be said to be primeval in that people communicate with each other to establish links, ties, connections or resolve disputes. In the modern context, negotiation is key when parties attempt to negotiate commercial contracts or agreements including in diplomatic settings. It is a skill and also knowledge which are no doubt very important.
At LSADR, we recognise the importance of negotiation skills in dispute resolution and also mediation. We are currently developing an international negotiation course that also takes into consideration cultural diversity and the need to adopt or apply specific negotiation techniques when involved in the present complex world.
